Cashmere Lounge Set

A hooded zip and a drawstring trouser, knitted from the same cashmere yarn so the two read as one garment rather than a top that happens to match a bottom. Cream tipping runs down the outside of each sleeve and lines the inside of the hood — the only decoration on either piece, and it's the detail that keeps this from looking like a tracksuit.

The point of expensive loungewear is that nobody sees it. You buy it for the eleven hours a day you spend at home, which is more hours than you spend anywhere else, and which almost nobody dresses for. Ribbed cuffs and hem on the jacket, ribbed ankles on the trouser, a full-length zip, and pockets deep enough to be useful rather than decorative.

Wear the two together on a Sunday. Wear the jacket over a shirt on a Tuesday and nobody will know it came from a set.
